Todd Freece is Director of UCF’s Division of Continuing Education. In this role he provides leadership and direction for UCF’s non-credit workforce education programs. The Division of Continuing Education provides test preparation courses for college entrance and professional certification exams, programs for personal and professional growth, and opportunities to retrain and transition to new careers. Mr. Freece collaborates with business and civic leaders in Central Florida to understand economic development plans and the changing needs of local employers.
Todd joined the University of Central Florida following 26 years of service in the US Air Force and brings tremendous depth of experience in organizational leadership and program management. During his time in the Air Force, Mr. Freece served as an astronautical engineer, space operations officer and a unit commander. He provided project and program management for complex technical activities including 24 space launches, command and control of defense satellites, and space-based missile warning. He was named a Bernard Schriever Fellow by the Air Force Association in 2004 for excellence in Military Space Operations. In addition to his leadership of military space operations, Mr. Freece also commanded air base support organizations with over 2,800 assigned personnel. While stationed in Japan, Todd provided program oversight for over $500 million in military construction and directed disaster response and evacuation of DoD Dependents following the Great East Japan Earthquake in March, 2011.
